Obtaining Feedback
Updated: 10/03/24
Receiving feedback is an essential part of improving transcription accuracy and maintaining high standards in our work. At Parrot, we value feedback as an opportunity to help you refine your skills, identify areas for growth, and recognize your strengths. The feedback you receive is meant to be constructive and aimed at ensuring the overall quality of our transcripts.
Why Feedback is Important
Feedback is crucial for maintaining consistency and improving individual and team performance. It highlights areas that need attention and reinforces best practices, ensuring that our transcripts remain reliable and accurate for our clients. By embracing feedback, transcribers can continuously improve their skills and stay up-to-date with any evolving guidelines or standards.
Disputing Reviewer Feedback
After completing a transcript task, your work will be reviewed, and shortly after, a show difference screen will provide you with the exact changes made to your work. You must approve the feedback in order to move your task to the “Completed” column in your dashboard.
If you're unsure about any feedback you receive or want further clarification, don't hesitate to ask. Open communication is key to ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals.
If you ever feel that the Reviewer feedback you received is inaccurate, unfair, or unclear, you have the option to dispute it. We encourage you to voice any concerns through our Feedback Dispute Request Form, where you can submit your case for review. Disputes will be reviewed fairly, and we aim to resolve them promptly.
Tips for Disputing Feedback:
- Be specific about what you believe to be incorrect.
- Include any relevant context or examples.
- Combine Multiple Disputes: If you have several concerns regarding feedback in one section, please include all of them in a single response. This will help us avoid congestion and the creation of multiple tickets, ensuring a more efficient review process.
- Remember that the dispute process is a dialogue, not a confrontation.
Important Note: We will carefully review all submitted disputes and take appropriate actions based on the feedback provided. However, please be aware that while we will address all concerns, we may not be able to respond directly to each submission.
Asking Questions and Seeking Clarifications
If you have any questions or need clarification on feedback, or if you're unsure about certain corrections, feel free to reach out. We offer several channels for communication:
- Slack Channel: Our team is available to address any questions you have regarding feedback.
- Parrot Support Chat: Accessible through the platform, where you can ask questions directly and get assistance.
Additional Feedback from the Parrot Team
In addition to the feedback you receive from our reviewers, you may occasionally receive direct feedback from the Transcription Operations Team via Slack or email. This feedback is meant to address larger patterns or issues we’ve noticed across multiple transcripts, or to clarify specific instructions and ensure consistent adherence to our transcription guidelines. If you receive feedback from us, it’s an opportunity to fine-tune your skills and align with best practices. We're here to help you improve, so feel free to ask questions if anything is unclear!
Your growth and success as a transcriber are important to us, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!
